Hyaluronic acid fillers add volume with the injected material, while the Korean Beauty Channel video describes Sculptra, Juvelook and Olidia as treatments that stimulate collagen production. In our newsroom, we frame the choice around the concern being addressed: lost volume, skin texture, or both, rather than a ranking of effectiveness.

How the change develops
In the video, Dr. Kim Gyeong-su and the other participants distinguish immediate space-filling from the gradual process of stimulating collagen production. Sculptra's official US guidance also describes stimulation of the body's own collagen and changes that develop gradually. The appearance immediately after treatment should not be taken as the final result.
You can watch the original Korean Beauty Channel video for the discussion behind this overview.
Which concerns does each treatment address?
The video presents Sculptra and Olidia as poly-L-lactic acid (PLLA)-based treatments for volume, using hollow temples and cheeks as examples. It discusses Juvelook in terms of two separate goals: subtle volume enhancement and improvement in skin texture.
That distinction alone does not establish suitability for a specific area, such as under the eyes. Juvelook and Juvelook Volume need to be distinguished by their product specifications, intended injection area and treatment goal. The video alone also does not establish that Olidia has a lower risk of nodules, or localized lumps beneath the skin.
Consider treatment conditions, not just duration
Dr. Kim Gyeong-su describes the duration of PLLA volume treatments as approximately 1.5-2 years after completing three sessions, and Juvelook used for volume as approximately 1-1.5 years. These are explanations given in the video, not guarantees of how long an individual's results will last.
The video also mentions three sessions at monthly intervals and massage techniques. Neither should be treated as a universal prescription for every product. Follow the instructions for the specific product being used and the treating clinician's directions.
Include risks and aftercare in the decision
The US Food and Drug Administration warns that dermal filler injections can cause nodules and infection, as well as rare but serious blood vessel complications. Stimulating collagen does not, by itself, guarantee safety.
When weighing these treatments, consider the desired change alongside product-specific precautions and aftercare requirements. Our emphasis is on matching the treatment goal to the product and its conditions of use, rather than choosing by a promised duration alone.
Skin responses and recovery times vary from person to person. Consult a medical professional for an individual assessment and treatment plan.
