If you have had fillers, tell your clinician where they were placed before Ultherapy. We emphasize discussing whether those areas overlap with the proposed treatment area, rather than deciding whether to proceed based on a history of fillers alone.

Why treatment directly over fillers needs caution
Ulthera’s 2026 US Instructions for Use for Ultherapy PRIME state that use over areas with dermal fillers has not been evaluated and that treatment directly over those areas is not recommended. This appears in the document’s precautions.
The scope matters. This US precaution should not be presented as identical to Korean labeling, nor does it mean that everyone who has had fillers must avoid Ultherapy across the entire face. It also does not guarantee that another area without fillers can be treated without an individual assessment.
Does this mean Ultherapy will dissolve fillers?
The precaution alone does not establish that fillers will necessarily dissolve or change shape. The manufacturer states that use over areas with fillers has not been evaluated. That is different from concluding that a particular adverse effect will definitely occur.
For the same reason, this wording cannot establish a waiting period after which treatment is guaranteed to be safe. Disclosing your filler history and guaranteeing safety after a set number of weeks are separate matters.
What to prepare before discussing treatment
We recommend writing down your filler history so you can communicate it without leaving out details:
- The areas treated, including which side of the face.
- When you received the injections.
- The product names, if you remember them.
- Any treatment records you have available.
If you do not remember something accurately, explain what is unknown rather than filling in the gaps with guesses.
Before choosing a treatment date, discuss your filler history with your clinician and whether it overlaps with the areas you are considering for Ultherapy.
Skin reactions and recovery times vary from person to person. Consult a clinician for an individual assessment and treatment plan.
