Can You Get Skinvive and a Peel on the Same Day?

Skinvive and a peel in the same area should be planned around skin recovery, not just treatment order. We cannot give a blanket yes to having both on the same day. Skinvive labeling published by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) warns of possible inflammatory reactions when chemical peels are performed before or after injections.

Changing the order does not remove the precaution

According to the 2026 U.S. clinician labeling published by the FDA, a chemical peel or another procedure that induces an active skin response after Skinvive injections may cause an inflammatory reaction at the injection site. The labeling also warns that injecting Skinvive before the skin has fully healed after such a procedure may cause an inflammatory reaction.

Having the peel first therefore does not remove this precaution. These warnings come from U.S. product labeling. They should not be taken as Korean-approved labeling or as a statement of our clinic's policy on combining treatments. They do not establish that same-day treatment is safe.

Identify the peel and assess recovery first

The FDA labeling's precaution about combining these procedures does not specify a waiting period that applies to everyone. It also should not be interpreted as a same-day ban on every treatment described as a “peel.” The first step is to identify exactly which procedure is planned.

When discussing timing with your treating clinician, we recommend sharing:

• The name of any recent peel.
• The date and area treated.
• Your current skin condition.

If you do not know the exact treatment name, bring the treatment record or information you were given. Do not decide that combining treatments is appropriate simply because a certain number of days has passed.

Mention future peel appointments, too

The FDA-published patient information also advises telling your healthcare professional if you plan to have a chemical peel or similar procedure after Skinvive injections.

Share both your treatment history and any upcoming peel appointments. Discuss the order and interval with your treating clinician, taking recovery in the same treatment area into account.
