When looking for Japanese-language support at a clinic in Gangnam, I recommend distinguishing interpreter support from a physician’s medical license in Japan. At UH CELL Clinic, our Gangnam branch has Japanese-, Chinese-, and English-speaking interpreter staff. Dr. Kim Kyungsu, lead physician at our Seocho branch, holds medical licenses in both Korea and Japan.

Hello, I’m Dr. Kim Yeonjin, lead physician at UH CELL Clinic’s Gangnam branch. To answer “Is Japanese supported?” clearly, I first want to explain the difference between these two arrangements.
Gangnam: On-site interpreter staff
Our Gangnam branch has interpreter staff who support Japanese, Chinese, and English communication.
The clinic is on the second and third floors of UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam, at 13, Teheran-ro 8-gil (WD Building). It is inside the hotel building, rather than a partner clinic in a separate building. Treatment is available in private rooms.
For more about having accommodation and treatment spaces in the same building, see our article on treatment and recovery logistics for lifting and anti-aging care in Gangnam.
Seocho: A lead physician licensed in Korea and Japan
According to our Seocho branch’s physician profile, Dr. Kim Kyungsu graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and holds medical licenses in Korea and Japan. These credentials belong to Dr. Kim at the Seocho branch, not to me at Gangnam.
Our Seocho branch is inside UH FLAT The Seocho, at 30, Banpo-daero 16-gil. Its administrative district is Seocho-gu, not Gangnam-gu. When considering the two locations, I recommend taking your accommodation and travel schedule into account.
What to prepare in Japanese before your visit
Whichever arrangement you are considering, I recommend bringing a written note in Japanese with the information you want to communicate:
- Medications you currently take
- Allergies
- Recent aesthetic treatments
- Your return flight date
Your departure date is important when planning treatment around possible downtime. Preparing these details can help you communicate clearly during the consultation.
Skin reactions and recovery times vary from person to person. I encourage you to discuss your concerns in Japanese and make treatment decisions based on an assessment of your skin.
