VIP care in Gangnam comes down to the recovery path after treatment, not the greeting at the door. We explain our private-room, in-hotel setup and why.

# VIP Care in Gangnam: What the Recovery Path Actually Looks Like

What Defines VIP Care at a Gangnam Anti-Aging Clinic?

We judge VIP care in Gangnam by what happens to a patient after a procedure ends, not by how formal the front desk feels. Our Gangnam clinic sits on the second and third floors of the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel building, so diagnosis and treatment take place in a private room, and hotel guests receive a complimentary oxygen chamber session and vitamin IV drip afterward. Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters are on staff, so consultation and treatment continue in the same room without a language gap.

The procedure itself is rarely what changes how a patient feels about the visit. The hours immediately afterward are. We built our schedule so that one physician carries a patient from skin diagnosis through treatment design, through the procedure, and into recovery guidance, and we keep every one of those steps inside the same building.

A Private Room Inside the Hotel Building

Our Gangnam clinic is located at 13 Teheran-ro 8-gil, on the second and third floors of the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam building. Treatment happens in a private room, and once it ends, a patient can go upstairs to a hotel room instead of stepping outside. Dr. Kim Yeonjin, our representative director, handles diagnosis and treatment personally. She serves as an Allergan faculty member for Juvederm and Botox and as a Key Doctor for Ultherapy and Potenza. We have written in more detail about how this in-hotel layout is scheduled for patients staying a few nights in Dermatology Clinic Inside a Hotel in Seoul?.

Why We Treat Oxygen Therapy as a Recovery Convenience

Breathing concentrated oxygen inside a pressurized chamber raises the amount of oxygen dissolved in blood plasma, and additional dissolved oxygen is generally understood to support the body's own healing processes. The Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society, the professional body that sets clinical indications for hyperbaric oxygen therapy in the United States, currently recognizes 14 approved indications for the treatment, concentrated in wound healing, decompression illness, and related medical conditions rather than cosmetic use.

Parnis and colleagues, writing an evidence-based review in the Journal of Cosmetic Dermatology in 2024, found that while a growing number of clinics promote hyperbaric oxygen therapy for skin rejuvenation, the current approved indications do not extend to aesthetic applications. Their review of the existing research also noted that much of the available evidence is limited in size and quality, and called for larger trials before firm conclusions can be drawn.

This is why we present our oxygen chamber and vitamin IV drip as a recovery convenience for hotel guests during their stay. The treatment outcome itself comes from diagnosis and procedure design.

What Changes on a Short Stay

Patients visiting us for two to six nights need time the next day to check swelling and redness before deciding how to spend the rest of their trip. When the clinic sits inside the same building as the hotel room, that check requires no travel: a patient can come down, have the area reviewed, and adjust the remaining itinerary in the same visit. If recovery is running longer than expected, we can also revisit the timing of a follow-up treatment on the spot, without a separate appointment days later.

This matters more for procedures that carry visible downtime than for those that do not, which is part of why we sequence a patient's plan around how much time they actually have in Seoul rather than around a fixed package.

FAQ

Is the oxygen chamber and vitamin IV drip an extra charge?

No. We provide both free of charge to guests staying at the UHC group hotel.

Can I avoid running into other patients during treatment?

Treatment takes place in a private room, and the only movement is between the hotel room and the treatment room.

Can I get a consultation in my own language before I book?

Our Gangnam clinic has Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters on staff, so interpretation is available from an initial inquiry through same-day explanation on the day of treatment.

Does the Seocho location work the same way?

Our Seocho clinic is also located inside a hotel building, UH FLAT The Seocho, and is led by Dr. Kim Kyungsoo, who holds medical licenses in both South Korea and Japan.
