I recommend planning skin treatments during a trip to Korea backward from your departure date, rather than starting with a list of procedures. Keep the day before departure free of new treatments, arrange an assessment soon after arrival, and place treatments that need recovery time earlier in your stay.

Hello, I’m Dr. Kim Yeonjin, director of UH CELL Clinic’s Gangnam branch. For a short trip, my advice is to work backward through your calendar.
How to work backward from departure
- Departure day: Leave this day for travel rather than treatment.
- The day before departure: Avoid adding a new laser or injectable treatment. Use the day to check your skin’s condition and review care instructions for after you return home.
- The days before that: Set aside time for treatment. I recommend scheduling treatments that need recovery time earlier in your stay.
- Soon after arrival: Arrange your assessment and discuss your treatment schedule.
On a three-night, four-day trip, setting aside arrival and departure days leaves roughly two full days. Rather than fitting several procedures into that window, I recommend focusing on one or two, as appropriate after assessment.
“No downtime” still needs context
I recommend deciding when to schedule each treatment after assessment, rather than planning from the procedure name or a “no downtime” description alone.
I would treat recovery time as part of the travel schedule, rather than assuming every available day can be a treatment day.
Where you recover is part of the plan
Our Gangnam clinic occupies the second and third floors of the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel. If you stay at this hotel, you can return to your room after treatment without leaving the building.
Treatments can be provided in private rooms, and our Gangnam branch has interpretation staff who support Japanese, Chinese, and English.
UHC hotel guests can choose one complimentary option: a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. If you use both, the vitamin IV drip costs KRW 55,000. This benefit applies to UHC hotel guests, not hotel guests generally.
I discuss these logistics further in Gangnam Lifting and Anti-Aging: Plan for Treatment and Recovery.
Skin reactions and recovery times vary from person to person. If your travel dates are set, I recommend using your departure date as the starting point, then planning the treatment sequence after assessment.
