Before comparing lifting device names in Seocho, check who treats you, what the consultation examines, each device's approved use, product authenticity, and aftercare. A Seocho-based guide from UH CELL's Seocho director on five things to verify.
Before comparing device names for a lifting treatment in Seocho, it helps to confirm who actually treats patients at that specific location, what the consultation examines before a plan is set, and how aftercare gets explained. UH CELL Seocho sits on the first floor of the UH FLAT The Seocho annex at 30 Banpo-daero 16-gil, and its official site lists Sofwave, Onda, OligioX, and Vollero as its lifting options. This guide covers five checkpoints for a Seocho consultation: the treating physician, the diagnostic consultation, how each device's approved use and limits work, product authenticity, and aftercare.
Hello, I am Kim Kyungsoo, director of UH CELL Seocho. I graduated from Seoul National University College of Medicine and hold medical licenses in both Korea and Japan.
Most people researching a lifting treatment start by comparing device names. The same device does not produce the same result for every patient, though. A 2005 paper on monopolar radiofrequency lifting published in the Aesthetic Surgery Journal found that patients could generally expect improvement in the range of 5 to 20 percent, while noting that outcomes in specific patient groups were harder to predict, and it emphasized that setting realistic expectations through detailed explanation was the central part of care. That is why I start with the consultation process rather than the equipment.
Two Locations, Two Doctors, Two Menus
UH CELL operates two locations. Our Gangnam branch is led by director Kim Yeonjin. I lead the Seocho branch. The two locations differ in address, in the doctor who treats patients, and in their official websites. If you come across information about UH CELL online, check which branch it actually describes before assuming it applies to Seocho.
Treatment menus can also differ between branches. The Seocho official site lists Sofwave, Onda, OligioX, and Vollero under its lifting menu. If you have seen a different device mentioned on another branch's page, do not assume Seocho offers the same treatment. Confirming with Seocho directly before booking is the more accurate approach.
Who performs the treatment matters as well. The Seocho doctor profile page states that Seocho's physicians personally perform lifting, skin booster, and anti-aging procedures. You can review our credentials on the "Doctor Profile" page of the Seocho official site.
What the Consultation Should Establish First
The first thing a lifting consultation needs to settle is the specific goal. Jawline sagging, nasolabial fold laxity, fine lines, and skin texture are separate concerns, and a single treatment session does not change all of them to the same degree.
A 2024 study published in the journal Cosmetics enrolled 20 women with aging skin who received one session of monopolar radiofrequency treatment, with three dermatologists who were not involved in the procedure evaluating the results in a blinded assessment. At the 12-week mark, jawline sagging and nasolabial fold laxity showed significant improvement, while pore size, fine lines, and skin tone measured by device did not differ significantly from baseline. The sample size of 20 is small, so the findings do not generalize broadly. Still, knowing that some markers improve while others do not within the same treatment is useful to know before a consultation.
Seocho's official materials describe a philosophy of individualized care that accounts for differences in each patient's face and skin. During your consultation with me, the following points are worth confirming together:
The area that concerns you most, and the degree of change you want
Recent treatments and their timing (lifting, filler, Botox, skin boosters, and similar procedures)
Medications you are taking, allergies, and any skin condition history
How much recovery time you have and any relevant dates (an event, a return flight, and so on)
How the Devices Work and What They Are Approved For
It helps to think of lifting devices in two broad families: ultrasound-based and radiofrequency-based. A systematic review of radiofrequency technology for skin rejuvenation, published through the U.S. National Library of Medicine (PMC), explains that radiofrequency delivers thermal energy into the dermis, which contracts existing collagen and stimulates new collagen formation. The same review notes that monopolar radiofrequency reaches deeper tissue but requires precise energy control to limit discomfort. Since energy settings directly affect comfort during the procedure, it is reasonable to ask during your consultation how the treatment area and intensity are determined.
Approved use also deserves attention. Take Sofwave, which is on Seocho's lifting menu, as an example. Practical Dermatology, a dermatology trade publication, reported in 2021 that the U.S. Food and Drug Administration cleared Sofwave for eyebrow lifting and for lifting lax submental and neck tissue in patients 22 and older, in addition to an earlier clearance for improving facial wrinkles. The clinical trial supporting that expanded clearance was conducted across five U.S. sites with 80 participants. This is a U.S. regulatory clearance, and it should not be read as identical to domestic Korean approval.
Onda, OligioX, and Vollero each work differently and suit different areas. I will not rank these devices against one another in general terms. Which one fits your case depends on your diagnosis, and I explain the reasoning behind each recommendation individually during your consultation.

Verifying Genuine Products and What Gets Explained Beforehand
Patients generally cannot tell by looking whether a device tip or an injectable product is genuine. According to Seocho's official site, the treatment devices, injectables, and medications used at Seocho are genuine, and the practice opens each product in front of the patient before use to confirm authenticity. I encourage patients to watch this step on the day of treatment and ask questions if anything is unclear.
What Aftercare Should Cover
Recovery continues well after the treatment session ends. Seocho's official guidance advises attention to sun protection and moisturizing after treatment, along with avoiding high-heat environments such as saunas or hot springs. It is worth asking beforehand what level of redness or swelling counts as normal, which symptoms should prompt a call to the clinic, and when a follow-up visit is recommended, since knowing these details in advance makes recovery easier to manage.
Patients traveling from abroad should also confirm language support and accommodation. Seocho's official site states that Japanese, Chinese, and English interpretation staff are available on-site. It is worth confirming ahead of your visit whether the language support you need will be available that day. For patients coming from Japan, holding a Japanese medical license alongside a Korean one is something you can verify through your own country's licensing system. Seocho also partners with UH hotels: entering a coupon code in the STATION by UHC app gives access to discounted rates at a number of UH hotel properties. Participating hotels and terms are listed in the partnership section of the Seocho official site.
FAQ
Does a lifting treatment show results immediately?
The sensation right after treatment and the changes that follow are two separate things to track. In the Cosmetics study cited earlier, cheek firmness increased starting around week 4 and continued improving through the 24-week follow-up period. That finding comes from a single study of 20 participants, and recovery speed and the pace of visible change vary by individual.
Can I continue a treatment I started at another branch here at Seocho?
Treatment menus can differ by branch. Tell me the name and timing of the treatment you previously received, and I can confirm during your consultation whether Seocho offers it and what plan makes sense going forward.
How far in advance should I book?
Seocho's official site recommends booking online at least two to three days ahead through KakaoTalk, LINE, or WeChat. If you need a same-day appointment, contact the clinic through the same channels and we will let you know what is available.
Is parking available if I drive to the clinic?
According to Seocho's KakaoTalk channel, parking is available. It is worth confirming the day's parking situation when you book.
Skin response and recovery time vary by individual. Please consult a physician for an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan.
