Ultherapy, Thermage, and Rejuran, the treatments Korean celebrities are known for, are available at multiple Gangnam clinics. Getting a similar result depends on skin diagnosis, recovery timing, and your return flight, not the treatment name. UH CELL Clinic's Gangnam director explains what to check before a short-stay visit.
Ultherapy, Thermage, and Rejuran, treatments Korean celebrities are known to receive, are publicly available devices and products offered at multiple clinics across Gangnam. Getting close to the same result depends on planning skin diagnosis, recovery time, and your return flight together, not on the treatment name alone.
Hello, I'm Kim Yeonjin, director of UH CELL Clinic's Gangnam branch.
What the Screen Shows, and What It Doesn't
KBS WORLD aired "Got the Spot in Gangnam" in 2025, following RESCENE member Minami as she visited K-beauty spots around Gangnam. A program like this doesn't show a guest's skin thickness, prior treatment history, or how much recovery time remains before the next shoot. Those variables, the ones that decide the outcome, usually sit on that side of the camera.
How Far Does the Evidence on Ultherapy and Rejuran Go?
According to U.S. FDA clearance records, Ultherapy is an ultrasound device cleared for eyebrow lift, submental and neck lift, and improvement of lines and wrinkles on the upper chest. Manufacturer Ulthera's own data shows the first clearance was granted in 2009, with the neck and submental indication added in 2012. Clearances split by treatment area mean energy depth and intensity have to be judged separately for each area.
Rejuran is a skin booster built on polynucleotide (PN) ingredients. A systematic review published in 2026 in PMC, the U.S. National Library of Medicine's article repository, analyzed seven randomized controlled trials covering 183 participants and reported that PN and PDRN treatments improved wrinkle-related measures. The same review noted that sample sizes were small and treatment protocols varied across the trials, so it described the evidence as still limited.
Three Things to Check First for a Short Stay
Days left before your return flight or a key event: we work backward from how much time swelling and bruising need to settle to decide treatment intensity.
Recent treatment history: if you've had a lifting treatment or laser recently, we may lower the intensity or space out the timing.
Skin thickness and fat distribution: strong energy on a thin face can leave a tired look, so we start conservatively and adjust from there.
I went into more detail on choosing between skin booster types in an earlier UH CELL NEWS piece on why the reason skin regeneration has slowed should come before the product name.
How the Gangnam Branch Works Inside the Hotel
Our Gangnam branch sits inside the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel, on the second and third floors of the WD Building at Teheran-ro 8-gil 13. Treatments take place in a private room, and Japanese-, Chinese-, and English-speaking staff are on site to interpret.
UHC hotel guests can choose one complimentary service: either a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. Using both is available, with the vitamin IV drip priced at 55,000 won in that case. Full conditions are posted on the promotions page at uhcell.com.
FAQ
Can I ask for the exact treatment a specific celebrity received?
You're welcome to name it. A diagnosis comes first to check whether that treatment fits your current skin and schedule, with a different plan suggested if it doesn't.
Can lifting and a skin booster be done in the same visit?
Depending on skin condition and recovery schedule, this can sometimes work. Whether to combine them, and in what order, gets decided after diagnosis in consultation.
What if redness or pain continues after I return home?
If redness, warmth, or pain doesn't ease, or gets worse, don't try to treat it yourself. Please get a medical evaluation.
Individual skin response and recovery time vary. Please consult a physician for an exact diagnosis and treatment plan.
