I think of shot count as a rough label for how much surface I'm covering, not a rating of how good the result will be. In practice, I use plans in the 100-shot range for smaller zones such as the eye area or jawline. Plans around 300 shots come up more often for the lower face. Plans of 600 shots or more are usually what I reach for in full-face designs that cover multiple depths and zones at once.

The same shot count can mean very different things depending on where I place those shots and how deep I deliver them. A plan I concentrate on a thin, sensitive zone isn't comparable to the same number of shots spread across the full face at multiple tissue depths. A 2026 Tax Change Adds to the Total You Should Compare

Anyone comparing Ultherapy quotes for a Korea trip in 2026 also needs to account for a change outside the treatment room. Korea's Ministry of Economy and Finance included the termination of the VAT refund for foreign patients' cosmetic and dermatological procedures in its 2025 tax reform plan, ending the benefit as of December 31, 2025. That refund had let visiting patients reclaim a portion of the value-added tax charged on qualifying procedures since it was introduced in 2016. For procedures paid for from January 1, 2026 onward, I have to tell patients that refund is no longer available, so the number on a 2026 quote sits closer to the final amount than it would have the year before. The change applies based on when the procedure is paid for, not when you first inquired. Procedures paid for on or before December 31, 2025 fall under the previous rules, while procedures paid for from January 1, 2026 onward aren't eligible for the refund.
