Recovery Ends in the Same Building, Not After You Leave It
Hello, I am Dr. Kim Yeon-jin, Chief Physician at UHCELL Clinic Gangnam. Whether you can finish a skin procedure and its recovery in one place on the same day is decided by building layout, not by how flexible the booking system is. Our Gangnam location sits on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam building, and our Seocho location sits inside UH FLAT The Seocho. Diagnosis, treatment, and recovery happen along one indoor path, so a patient does not need to cross a public lobby or step outside after a procedure to reach a place to rest.

Why "By Appointment Only" Isn't the Real Question
Many clinics market themselves as appointment-only or private, and that does solve one problem: it controls when you walk in. It does not solve what happens after you walk out of the treatment room. A private booking slot still routes you through a shared lobby, an elevator bank, and often a short walk outdoors to wherever you are staying. For a patient managing swelling, redness, or light sensitivity right after a procedure, that gap between "treatment finished" and "somewhere to actually recover" is the part that goes unplanned.
Our clinics are not affiliated with a hotel through a referral arrangement — we operate as an on-site facility of the same hotel group, inside the same building. That distinction removes the gap itself rather than shortening it.
What Same-Day Recovery Actually Looks Like Here
After an individual skin diagnosis, treatment takes place in a private room, and hotel guests can use our oxygen chamber and vitamin IV drip program in the same building before returning to their room. We do not run a single standardized package for every patient; the recovery plan is built alongside the treatment plan, based on what the diagnosis shows. A patient staying elsewhere can still be treated here, but the oxygen chamber and IV drip recovery track is offered to hotel guests.
Why the Diagnosing Physician Matters
A 2026 report from the Association of Korean Dermatologists found that roughly 9 in 10 primary clinics in Korea that treat skin conditions are run by physicians who are not board-certified dermatologists — clinic signage alone does not tell a patient who is actually making the diagnosis. That is one reason we treat "who diagnoses you" as a question worth asking before booking anything.
At our Gangnam location, I lead diagnosis and treatment planning myself; I completed graduate study at Seoul National University and trained at Seoul National University Hospital. At our Seocho location, Dr. Kim Kyung-su, who holds medical licenses in both Korea and Japan, does the same. In both locations, the physician who reviews your skin is the one who designs the procedure — not a separate consulting step handed off to someone else. Our Gangnam location also keeps Japanese, Chinese, and English-speaking interpreting staff on site, so a short visit doesn't lose time to translation delays during consultation.
Why This Matters Most for Short Stays
BC Card's analysis of foreign card spending in the first half of 2026 found that Gangnam accounted for 39.8% of foreign medical-tourism spending in Seoul, the highest of any district, with Seocho next at 27.6%. The same analysis found that dermatology's share of foreign medical spending expanded from 32.6% to 67.5% as cosmetic surgery's share fell. For a patient with a 2-to-7-day window in Seoul built around a procedure, what happens right after treatment — not the name of the device used — is usually what determines whether the rest of the trip goes as planned. FAQ
Can anyone use the oxygen chamber and vitamin IV drip, or only hotel guests?
The oxygen chamber and IV drip recovery program is offered to hotel guests. Availability for patients staying elsewhere depends on the treatment type and individual health status, so it's worth confirming during consultation.
Can I go straight back to my room after a procedure?
If your accommodation is in the same building, yes — you can move to your room without passing through a public lobby or stepping outside.
Does the same doctor handle both the consultation and the procedure?
Yes. At each of our locations, the chief physician reviews the diagnosis and designs the treatment plan directly.
If you're planning a short trip around a procedure, it's worth reading that structural breakdown before you book, so recovery isn't the part of the itinerary left to chance.
