A botulinum toxin injection (Botox) is one of the clearer examples of a treatment you can fit inside a 3-day trip, start to finish. The American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) notes that this injection requires no anesthesia and no downtime, and that patients can typically return to normal activity right away. But that "no downtime" comes with a condition attached: don't rub or massage the treated area.

Hello, I'm Kim Yeonjin, representative director of UH CELL Clinic's Gangnam branch. Let me walk you through why this condition matters more than it sounds on a short trip, and how I suggest planning your schedule around it.
The Condition Behind "No Downtime"
ASPS advises against rubbing or massaging the treated area after a botulinum toxin injection. The reasoning is straightforward: the product can migrate to nearby areas of the face. If it does, it can temporarily weaken or droop muscles you didn't intend to treat.
"No downtime" means you don't need to set aside recovery days to rest. It doesn't mean the treated area can be handled carelessly during that time. On a short trip, this distinction matters more than it would on a longer one, because the variable that actually decides whether the schedule works isn't how much rest you get — it's whether your itinerary lets you avoid touching the area.
Why This Matters More on a Short Trip
A 3-day trip often comes packed with things that put hands near the face without anyone intending harm: a spa or facial treatment that includes massage, a firm cleansing routine, even a pillow or mask worn a certain way. None of these require "recovery time" in the usual sense, but each one runs against the one condition that actually protects the result.
This is why, when a trip is this short, I think the planning question isn't "how much downtime do I have" — it's "can I keep hands off the treated area for the stretch this condition covers."
Planning a Travel Schedule Around the Condition
If a spa visit, massage, or an aesthetic treatment that involves pressing or rubbing the face is already on the itinerary, I'd suggest removing it from the days immediately following the injection.
If you're also considering a separate treatment, such as a laser procedure, during the same trip, whether it fits inside a 3-day window is something to confirm at the diagnosis stage, together with the type and intensity of treatment — not decided on its own. We don't work from a fixed package; each treatment plan is built after an individual skin diagnosis. If you let us know your departure and return dates at consultation, that helps narrow down what's realistic within your schedule.
The Route From Treatment to Where You Stay
Our Gangnam branch is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel building. Staying in the same building shortens the distance between the treatment room and your room afterward, which matters most in the hours right after an injection, when avoiding contact with the treated area is the priority.
Guests staying at a UHC hotel can choose one complimentary option: a 30-minute session in an oxygen chamber, or a vitamin IV drip. If you'd like both, the vitamin IV is priced at 55,000 KRW. I've written in more detail about how the treatment and recovery route works in See the Full Treatment-to-Recovery Route for Gangnam Lifting and Anti-Aging Care.
Skin response and recovery vary from person to person. For a treatment plan suited to your schedule and skin condition, please discuss the details with our medical staff during consultation.
