K-Pop Idol Skin Treatments: Look at the Goal, Not the Name

KIM YEONJIN (Dr. JJIN) 대표원장
| Input:

You can't verify which treatment a K-pop idol actually had. What you can evaluate is the goal behind a treatment — tone and texture, skin condition, or elasticity — and build a plan from there.

Exactly which treatment a K-pop idol received is something only that person can confirm. Even a detailed "idol routine" listing specific treatment names and session counts should be read as a guess unless the idol stated it directly. What you can actually evaluate is the goal a treatment addresses. Skin tone and texture, internal skin condition, and elasticity are three separate goals, and the starting point is finding out which one your own skin needs.

K-Pop Idol Skin Treatments: Look at the Goal, Not the Name

Hello, I'm Dr. Kim Yeonjin, director of UH CELL Clinic's Gangnam branch.

Why You Can't Know What a Specific Celebrity Had Done

A patient's treatment record belongs to that patient. Unless an idol discloses it personally, there is no way to verify what they received or how many times. That's why I encourage patients to stop asking "what did this person get" and ask instead, "what does this treatment actually address."

Sorting by Goal Instead of Treatment Name

GoalRepresentative treatments
Skin tone and textureLaser treatments, chemical peels
Internal skin conditionSkin boosters (Rejuran Healer, Skinvive, and similar)
Elasticity and liftingEnergy-based devices such as Ulthera, Thermage, Sofwave

Even within the same goal, the right treatment depends on your actual skin condition. At our clinic, we offer anti-aging, lifting, skin booster, and peeling treatments, and we design the combination after an individual skin diagnosis rather than offering a fixed package.

If You're Visiting Korea for a Short Stay

According to the Ministry of Health and Welfare's 2025 release, of the 1.17 million international patients who visited Korea in 2024, dermatology accounted for the largest share at 705,000 visits, or 56.6%. If your trip is short, the route you take matters as much as the treatment you choose.

Our Gangnam branch is located on the 2nd and 3rd floors inside the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel. Guests staying at the UHC hotel can choose one complimentary option — either a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. Using both brings the vitamin IV to 55,000 KRW. The Gangnam branch also has Japanese, Chinese, and English interpreters on site.

I've written separately about privacy and movement through the clinic in "Celebrity-Level Privacy: Start With the Route Through a Gangnam Clinic."

Skin response and recovery time vary from person to person. For an accurate diagnosis and treatment plan, please consult with our medical team directly.
