For a short trip to Seoul, I recommend planning skin treatments around recovery time rather than procedure names. Leave room early in the trip for assessment and treatment, and reserve the day before departure for checking recovery rather than starting another procedure.
Hello, I’m Dr. KIM YEONJIN, head physician at UH CELL Clinic’s Gangnam branch. For a three-night, four-day visit, I suggest starting with a practical question: how much recovery time does your treatment need, and how does that fit your stay?
Recovery time depends on the treatment
The American Board of Cosmetic Surgery describes ultrasound skin tightening, such as Ultherapy, as a procedure that takes about 30-90 minutes with no downtime. It also notes that temporary redness, bruising, or numbness may occur, and that results develop over 2-3 months.
I would not interpret “no downtime” as a promise of no visible or uncomfortable aftereffects. Nor should you expect the full result before leaving Seoul, given that longer timeline.
That description applies to ultrasound skin tightening. Injections and other devices need separate consideration because their recovery patterns differ. If you have photos or an important event planned, I recommend discussing the expected recovery period for each proposed treatment before deciding when to have it.
A three-night, four-day planning example
I suggest using this as a starting point, with the treatment choice and timing adjusted after your skin assessment:
- Day 1: Arrive and allow time for a skin assessment and consultation. I recommend discussing skin thickness, your previous treatment history, and any plans immediately after returning home.
- Day 2: Have treatment suited to the assessment. If a procedure needs more recovery time, place it early in the stay rather than near departure.
- Day 3: Leave time for rest, sightseeing, and checking how recovery is progressing.
- Day 4: Depart without adding a new treatment.
The schedule should follow the recovery needs of the proposed treatment, not the other way around.
Treatment and rest in the same building
Our Gangnam branch is inside UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam. If you stay at this hotel, treatment and rest can take place in the same building.
If you are staying at a UHC hotel, you can select either 30 minutes in the oxygen chamber or a vitamin IV infusion at no charge. The offer covers one of these options. Choosing both means paying KRW 55,000 for the vitamin IV.
At our Gangnam branch, you can receive treatment in a private room. For language support, our interpretation staff can assist in English, Japanese, and Chinese.
When to contact us before departure
Please contact us promptly before leaving Korea if pain is getting worse, or if swelling or redness is increasing rather than settling.
Before you leave, I also recommend agreeing on how to contact us if questions arise after you return home.
