For aftercare in the US after treatment in Korea, ask the US clinic about assessment, fees and insurance coverage, and bring your treatment records.
If you need aftercare in the US after an aesthetic treatment in Korea, I recommend contacting the US clinic directly to ask whether it can assess your recovery. Ask about fees and whether insurance applies, and obtain your treatment records before leaving Korea.
Hello, I’m Dr. Kim Yeonjin, head physician at UH CELL Clinic’s Gangnam branch.
Two questions to ask the clinic in the US
I recommend asking the US clinic whether it can assess your recovery after treatment in Korea. Ask before symptoms arise and, if possible, before you leave Korea.
Ask about costs and whether insurance applies at the same time. When making an appointment, ask:
Can you assess my recovery after a treatment I received in Korea?
How will the visit be charged, and will insurance apply?
Obtain your treatment records before leaving Korea
When you contact a clinic in the US, be ready to explain what treatment you received, where on your body it was performed, and when you had it. At our clinic, we can provide:
A record of the treatment name, treatment area and date.
Written aftercare instructions.
The names and duration of use of any prescribed topical or oral medications.
I recommend keeping these records with you. They can help you explain your treatment history when asking whether a clinic can see you or when discussing your recovery.
Allow time for recovery while you are in Seoul
Before leaving Korea, I recommend asking the US clinic about follow-up arrangements, making sure you understand your aftercare instructions, and allowing sufficient recovery time while you are still in Seoul.
Our Gangnam branch is located inside UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam, and our Seocho branch is inside UH FLAT The Seocho. Both branches are in UHC hotel buildings. Treatment can take place in a private room. At our Gangnam branch, interpretation staff support Japanese, Chinese and English, so you can review your aftercare instructions in English if needed.
UHC hotel guests can choose one complimentary option: a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV infusion. If you choose both, the vitamin IV infusion costs KRW 55,000.
We plan treatment around an assessment of your individual skin condition rather than a fixed package. Please share your departure date and your schedule after returning home during your consultation so we can take that timing into account when planning your treatment.
Skin reactions and recovery times vary from person to person. Please discuss your diagnosis and treatment plan with the medical team.
