Celebrity Lifting Reviews Won't Rank a Gangnam Clinic

A celebrity's lifting review can't reliably rank Gangnam clinics: Korea's Medical Act Article 56 restricts advertising based on patient treatment accounts. What you can check before a visit instead: which layer has loosened, the device's cleared indications, and the recovery logistics that fit a short trip.

A celebrity's lifting review can't function as a reliable way to rank Gangnam clinics, because Korea's Medical Act Article 56 restricts advertising that relies on patient treatment accounts. What you can check before you book is the layer of your face that has loosened, the cleared indications of the device being proposed, and the recovery schedule that fits your trip. Those three points hold up regardless of who else has had the procedure.

Celebrity Lifting Reviews Won't Rank a Gangnam Clinic

Hello, I'm Kim Yeonjin, director of UH CELL's Gangnam branch. When someone asks me for "the Gangnam lifting clinic the idol goes to," I'd rather give an answer built on things you can verify yourself than on a name.

Why a review can't settle the comparison

Article 56(2) of the Medical Act prohibits advertising "content likely to make consumers misunderstand treatment effects, including patient treatment accounts." That restricts how a clinic can present a treatment case as proof of outcome, and it also means a reader generally has no way to confirm who wrote an online celebrity lifting review or under what circumstances. Skin thickness and the degree of sagging differ from person to person even for the same procedure, so the result differs too. Someone else's review isn't a reliable stand-in for what will happen on your own face.

Start with the loosened layer, not the device name

Lifting planning starts with identifying which layer of tissue has loosened. The U.S. FDA's 510(k) summary for the Ulthera System (K134032, 2014) lists its cleared indications as eyebrow lift, lifting of lax tissue under the chin and neck, and improvement of décolletage lines, and describes using ultrasound imaging to visualize the dermis and subcutaneous layer to confirm treatment depth before energy is delivered. Even with the same device, skin thickness, fat distribution, and prior procedure history change how deep and how strong that energy should be. At our Gangnam branch, treatment is planned after an individual skin diagnosis, drawing on devices such as Ulthera, Thermage, Sofwave, and Potenza as the case calls for.

For a short trip, plan the recovery route too

Patients visiting from abroad often need the procedure and recovery to fit inside a short stay. Our Gangnam branch is located inside the UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam hotel, and procedures can take place in a private room. Japanese, Chinese, and English-speaking interpreter staff are on site.

If your travel dates are set, use your departure date as the anchor and work with the clinic to sequence the procedure and recovery plan around it.

Skin response and recovery time vary by individual. Please discuss your specific diagnosis and treatment plan with a physician.
