Apgujeong lies inside Gangnam-gu, so picking a dermatology clinic by neighborhood name alone will not settle much. The real difference between the two areas comes from the subway line and where you are staying. Three checks narrow the choice fast: distance from your lodging, the consultation language available, and how close you can rest after treatment.
Hello, I'm Dr. Kim Yeonjin, director of UH CELL Gangnam. For patients planning a short stay in Seoul around a treatment, the area question usually comes down to scheduling.
Both Neighborhoods Sit Inside the Same District
Apgujeong Station is a Line 3 stop in Apgujeong-dong, Gangnam-gu. The Gangnam Station area sits at the western end of Teheran-ro, served by Line 2. According to Gangnam-gu's own figures, the district received 650,958 foreign patients in 2025, up 72.6% from the previous year. In the district's 2023 breakdown, dermatology accounted for the largest share of visits at 48.2%. Asia Economy has reported that Gangnam-gu reopened the Gangnam Medical Tour Center in Apgujeong-dong as a comprehensive community center for international medical tourists.
Since both areas fall under the same district, the subway line that matches your lodging gives you a clearer answer than the neighborhood name does.
Three Things to Check First for a Short Stay
- Travel time from your lodging: whether your hotel sits near Line 2 or Line 3 changes how many transfers you need. Put your hotel address and the clinic address into a map app and check the actual travel time.
- Consultation language: confirm you can follow the treatment explanation and consent process in your own language or in English.
- A place to rest afterward: if swelling or redness is possible, the distance back to your lodging should factor into your recovery plan.
Our Gangnam Location and Route
UH CELL Gangnam is on the second floor of UH FLAT SIGNATURE Gangnam, at 13 Teheran-ro 8-gil, Gangnam-gu. According to the UHC hotel group's own listing, the hotel is a five-minute walk from Gangnam Station and a seven-minute walk from Yeoksam Station. Because the clinic sits inside the hotel, guests staying there can move between their room and the clinic within the same building.
Treatment takes place in private rooms, and interpreter staff covering Japanese, Chinese, and English are on site. UHC hotel guests can choose one complimentary recovery option: a 30-minute oxygen chamber session or a vitamin IV drip. Using both in the same stay carries a 55,000 KRW charge for the IV drip. Full conditions are posted on the promotions page at uhcell.com.
